Places & islands

Habitats are the ground patches where the world generator settled wolves, Draugar, the Stone Jotun or wights; the game draws the same icons on its own map. The other islands are listed with the type the world seed gave them; press World to see them all. Their coastlines do not exist until you sail there, so each one is drawn as the game's icon for its type.

Vegetation & resources

Names come from the game's vegetation packages, matched to the type indexes in the save. Click a name to jump to the nearest one; the pencil renames it.

The save stores no water height. 30.5 m matches the beaches of this world; nudge it if the coastline looks off. Heights are calibrated from item positions to about ±0.3 m.

Open an ASKA save to chart its world

Aska Atlas reads the game's own save files and draws the coastline and terrain, every fir, birch, berry bush, mushroom, flax plant, stone pile and jotun-blood rock by name, the Wulfar dens, Draugar fields, Stone Jotun arena and wight spire, your buildings and villagers, and the other islands of the archipelago, using the icons the game itself puts on its map. Nothing is uploaded; parsing happens in this browser tab.

Saves live in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Sand Sailor Studio\Aska\data (a copy of that data folder works just as well). Pick the data folder to browse every save, or one savegame_… folder.
